About my passion for beading

when I was a little girl growing up in Israel I can remember how amazed I was at the sense of creativity around me and I was especially amazed by flamboyant women who wore lots of amazing adornments. I felt like something about them stood out, their personalities were brighter and they had such a vibrancy and a passion for life and for self expression. I used to watch women who wore lots of adornments and others who made jewelry, clothing, sewed, crocheted hats, cooked, singed, and danced, made shoes, and so much more, and this was an exciting part of the life I grew up in.

I had no idea at the time that I would become an artist and someone who is so passionate about, art and creativity. I had no idea that I would end up spend years and years making things with my hands. I do know that having skills of hands is connected with my sun sign which is gemini, but I always saw my self more on the side of teaching and writing...

As I write this now I can definitely tell you that all these things connect together and is just an evolution of events. Now not only do I love creating art but I also teach it and write about it. This is one of things about having sun in gemini, it gives the person the ability to be dynamic and do several things at once.

I was first introduced to bead weaving specifically around the age of 16 when I was living in Jerusalem, Israel. Even at that time, as much as I liked it, I thought it was just something to do but I remember being pulled to it as if I had already known it.

At this point in my life it is very clear that this is something which was passed through my blood and are stories for later.

These days I spend up to 10 hours each day happily beading my fingers away and thinking up new ideas for new designs, and always expanding my knowledge in this field, and talking with customers about custom orders and commissions for themselves, their loved ones, for their ceremonies and big events, and as gifts to others.

I love this aspect of my life so much that I had to create my website in an interactive manner that requires each customer to contact me before placing an order. My work is very personal to me and I want my online store to be similar to a walk in store where you would have to talk to me to purchase your item and I would get to share my stories and around what inspired me to create your particular item and what significance it holds. I would prefer to get commissions from ideas of my customers because it serves my intention to use my art as a bridge of communication and experiences from and with people all over the world.

I started teaching bead weaving not much after I had decided to turn this passion into a business back in 2009 and I hold a big vision for where I am going with this love in the future. Another super creative and fun part about my art is that I get to model what I create and this will be the topic for another blog post.
